CENTRAL COAST GRIP AND LIGHTING POLICIES
RESERVATIONS: Please send gear requests no later than two days before your pickup day. This ensures that we have time to prep your rental and inform you if any gear in your request is unavailable. We will make our best efforts to accommodate last minute or same day requests, but they are not guaranteed.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: You are able to cancel your order for a full refund within 48 hours after payment. Any cancellation requests made after that will receive half of the rental payment.
INSURANCE: For rentals exceeding $800 in insurable value, as well as for gear that is consigned through CCGL, equipment insurance is required. The process for submitting a Certificate of Insurance (COI) will be detailed during the request process. Please also review the FAQ page for resources to purchase production insurance.
RATES: Gear is rented on a day rate basis. Weekend discounts are available:
EXAMPLE: if your shoot days are Saturday and Sunday, you will only be charged for 1 rental day.
EXAMPLE: if your shoot days are Friday thru Sunday, you will only be charged for 2 rental days.
If you rent gear for 5 or more days, you will be charged at a discounted weekly rate of 30% off.
PICK-UP DATE: The day before 12 AM of your first shoot date. EARLIEST: 1PM
If the equipment is picked up after 1PM the day before the shoot day, you will not be charged for that day.
If the equipment is picked up before 1PM the day before the shoot day, you will be charged for that day.
Exceptions: If you pick up and drop off equipment on the same day; and during normal business hours, you will be charged for 1 rental day.
DROP-OFF DATE: The day after 11:59pm of your last shoot day. LATEST: 10AM
If the equipment is dropped off before 10AM the day after your last shoot day, you will not be charged for that day.
If the equipment is dropped off after 10AM the day after your last shoot day, you will be charged $50 per hour or fraction of that hour that the equipment is not returned. However, if you arrive at 10:01 to drop off equipment, I will just sternly remind you to be earlier next time :)
Exceptions: If you pick up and drop off equipment on the same day; and during normal business hours, you will be charged for 1 rental day.
WEEKENDS / HOLIDAYS:
Special appointments may be made to pick up or drop off gear on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays, but such requests are subject to a $50 fee.
These requests may be denied based on availability of staff to accommodate special appointments.
DELIVERY AND PICKUP OF EQUIPMENT BY RENTAL COMPANY:
The rental company WILL NOT deliver rentals to customers unless delivering replacement(s) for damaged gear or negligence in preparation of gear for the customer. The rental company WILL NOT pick up rentals from customers unless warranted by any stipulation specified in the Rental Agreement.
VEHICLES:
We do not provide/rent vehicles for the transportation or storage of rented equipment. Customers are expected to provide their own means of transportation and storage of rented equipment; and to be fully aware of the space needed to transport and store the amount of equipment that they are renting. Customers are expected to store the gear in a safe, lawful and responsible manner and to comply with all storage policies set forth in the Rental Agreement.
